67 Bricks’ co-founder Sam Herbert will take part in a National Information Standards Organisation (NISO) Roundtable on Wednesday, that will help publishers examine how they might take their first steps into machine intelligence.

The webinar, NFAIS Forethought: Artificial Intelligence #1 – Planning for Implementation,  is one of two virtual sessions run by NISO.  The other confirmed speakers include: Ray Abruzzi, Wiley, Neil Blair Christensen, Cactus Communications, Ann Gabriel & Jessica Cox, Elsevier, Peter Ciufetti of Coherent Digital and a representative from Digital Science.

Sam said: “Data, speed of processing and algorithms are having a huge impact on publishing.  Right now, many firms are exploring how AI might enhance what they offer to users, how best to strategically approach the technology and what balance there should be between customisation and privacy.

“If your organisation is starting to use AI, or planning to do so, then this webinar will help get you up to speed on the questions and costs you need to be considering as you plan for your implementation.”
