Our Site Reliability Engineer Oksana Horlock recently teamed up with Codebar to deliver a webinar entitled ‘A Bitesize Introduction to the Cloud and Infrastructure as Code’.
In this 35 minute session, Oksana defines Cloud Computing, discussing its importance in the tech world and the different models of Cloud Computing. She covers how Cloud Computing powers different models such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
The video also explains the concepts that play an important role when it comes to working with the Cloud such as resources on-demand, scalability, elasticity, security and more.
Oksana also provides insight into Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and its importance, as well as talking about Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its basic postulates like S3 (Simple Storage Service) and IAM (Identity Access Management). The video ends with an actual demo where Oksana shows the working of an AWS Dashboard.
