Five publishers have made it to the next stage of the 2019 OpenAthens Best publisher user experience award – and we are delighted our client Emerald Publishing is one of them.

Emerald’s new digital content platform Emerald Insight was shortlisted, alongside Bloomsbury – Bloomsbury Digital Resources, Cambridge University Press – Cambridge Core, Manchester University Press – Manchesterhive and Manchesteropenhive, and Michigan University Press – Ebook Collection on Fulcrum.

The next stage of the process is to validate the user experience through a series of short interviews with librarians and their library users. Interviews will take place between 25 November – 6 December 2019.  The results and award winner will be announced shortly afterwards.

67 Bricks co-founder Sam Herbert said:  “67 Bricks are very proud to partner with Emerald in co-developing Emerald Insight and delighted to hear of this nomination.  Emerald are committed to making research that benefits society visible and easy to discover for the widest possible audience. This is why, in July 2019, they launched a new platform that has been entirely reimagined and rebuilt.

“The platform was co-developed in conjunction with 18 universities from around the world, is uniquely tailored to their needs, and provides an invaluable tool for academics, librarians and students alike. It is a flexible platform that offers scalable products for each user group.  Feedback so far has been very positive.”
